Amritsar, December 2: During a meeting of five Singh Sahibs (respected Sikh leaders) at Sri Akal Takht Sahib today, Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal was given a strict punishment. During the Akali Dal government's tenure, Sukhbir Singh Badal was declared a "tankhahiya" (excommunicated) for incidents of disrespect to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Today, he was sentenced.
