Punjab dominates 12th National Gatka Championship; Girls and boys teams clinch overall trophies

New Delhi, June 14 : The three-day 12th National Gatka (Men & Women) Championship organized by the National Gatka Association of India (NGAI) concluded today at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi, with enthusiastic participation of men and women Gatka teams from fourteen states comprising over 500 players. Chief Guest Justice (Retd.) Chandigarh, June 14 : Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini will inaugurate a newly constructed, state-of-the-art jail complex in Fideri village of Rewari district today at 10:00 AM. The facility has been built at a cost of Rs. 95 crores and is spread over an area of approximately 50 acres. Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Jails Criminal Investigation and Administration of Justice, Dr. Sumita Misra, shared that the new jail complex addresses a longstanding gap in prison infrastructure in Rewari. Until now, the district had only a small jail with a capacity of 65 inmates, leading to the transfer of over 700 prisoners to facilities in Gurugram, Narnaul, and Jhajjar.
