National Panchayati Raj Day marks Major Milestones for Haryana’s Panchayats

Chandigarh, April 24 : On the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day, Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini gave a development bonanza worth Rs. 368 crore to the state's panchayats. During the state-level ‘Gram Utthan Samaroh’ held in Panchkula, the Chief Minister inaugurated 923 development works worth Rs. 233 crore and laid the foundation stones for 413 works worth Rs. 135 crore. Further strengthening grassroots governance, the Chief Minister also transferred Rs. 573 crore to 22 Zila Parishads, 142 Panchayat Samitis, and 5,388 Gram Panchayats as their share of stamp duty revenue. Gurugram to receive 670 MLD Water Supply after May 31- CM Nayab Singh Saini

Chandigarh, April 23 : Haryana Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini said that after May 31, a total of 670 million liters per day (MLD) of water supply will be made available to residents of Gurugram. He directed officials to ensure this is achieved to prevent any inconvenience to the public during the summer season. In addition, he said that 400 new electric buses will soon be deployed in Gurugram to enhance public transportation. So far, damage has been reported over approximately 801 acres. Deputy Commissioners have been directed to prepare detailed reports and assess the extent of the damage. In addition to crop loss, if farmers have suffered damage to livestock or any other loss, the government will ensure they are duly compensated.
