Haryana Launches Statewide Mock Drill Under ‘Operation Abhyas’ to Strengthen Disaster Preparedness

Chandigarh, May 7 : Haryana Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi today chaired an important meeting to review the arrangements for the mock drill under 'Operation Abhyas,' which will be conducted across all 22 districts of Haryana at 4:00 pm today. In alignment with this exercise, the general public has been requested to switch off all lights in their homes from 7:50 pm to 8:00 pm as a part of the drill. During the meeting, Sh. Rastogi issued comprehensive directives to all Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) regarding the operational aspects of the mock drill. Chandigarh, May 6 : Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini reviewed the progress of eight Namo Bharat corridor projects in the NCR region under which three corridors are currently under implementation in Phase-I. These include Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut (82 km), Delhi-Gurugram-SNB (105 km) and Delhi-Panipat-Karnal (136 km) routes. Haryana Environment and Forest Minister Rao Narbir Singh also attended the meeting. This is proven by the fact that all crops of farmers in Haryana are being purchased on MSP and in the last 10 and a half years, the government has given Rs 14500 crore to farmers for crop loss, whereas before 2014, during the Congress government, only Rs 1155 crore were given to farmers as crop loss compensation. The previous Congress government in Punjab and now the current Aam Aadmi Party government have never taken care of the farmers nor have they purchased the crops of farmers on MSP.
